the grain seller
This grain seller in old Delhi, gives a plateful of grain everyday to the shopkeepers that flourish in the neighbouring marketplace, since they believe that feeding pigeons is auspicious and shall bring good luck to their businesses. Every morning a steady stream of shop owners come by his shack and literally 'buy a plate of good luck'.
The brand name was kept simple- ‘Kabootar Khana’ that means ‘Pigeon food’ whereas the logo symbol includes three circles that describe the key elements of this profession- a pigeon, the grain and a human palm that signifies a person's fate in the Indian culture. The tagline also reads 'fate on a plate', the real ideology of this street profession.
